Details of Medical Training
My pre-clinical training and first degree in Pharmacology with Basic Medical Sciences were at the University of London. I studied Clinical Medicine at St Bartholomews’ and Homerton Hospitals. Postgraduate training involved rotations in South and North West Thames.
I spent two and a half years gaining experience of research and molecular biology under the supervision of Professor Wendy Atkin and Dr Huw
Thomas in the Cancer Research UK laboratories at St Mark’s Hospital,
Harrow resulting in my MD thesis.

I was appointed Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Frenchay Hospital, North Bristol NHS Trust in October 2005.
